What Is the Letter of Evaluation?

The Letter of Evaluation is a service provided by the Academy of Manuscript and Autograph, LLC  that enables you to get the written opinion based on the result of a Quick Judgment from our forensic document examiner as to the genuineness of an item being offered for sale. This service is most commonly used by auction houses or individuals that wish to evaluate their items prior to selling while also offering an upgrade to a full authentication to whomever buys that item. It's a great way to ensure piece of mind to customers seeking reliable sellers amidst a sea of frauds. A Quick Judgment is based only on a side by side  evaluation and consistency of the writing with the exemplars in the authentic collection of the Academy of Manuscript and Autograph library.

How Does It Work?

Complete all detail information required on the submission form, and make a fast and easy payment of $14.00 for each autograph, $17.00 for multiple autographs on one item up to 2 autographs any additional autographs is $3.00 per autograph, and $20.00 for manuscripts. This fee will be deducted from the authentication fee if the autograph is submitted for the full authentication within 45 days of the sale by the holder of the Letter of Evaluation. A proof of date of purchase will need to be submitted with the original letter of evaluation. If the item is evaluated and rendered not authentic the charges will be $7.00, $10.00 plus $3.00 each after 2 autograph, or $13.00 depending upon the type of item that was submitted. If we are unable to render an opinion we will provide a refund to your account.

The Form will be forwarded directly to our highly qualified experts for an online examination.

How Long Does It Take?

In 24 to 48 hours, you will receive an e-mail with the opinion on whether we feel the item is likely to be genuine, or not likely to be genuine.

What Do You Get?

You will receive an e-mail with a qualified opinion based on an expert's examination of the scan.
All items that pass the evaluation will receive a Letter of Evaluation within 6 days. The bottom of the Letter of Evaluation features a light red "PROTECTED" logo printed in heat reactive ink - just rub the logo with your finger or apply other heat source and watch it temporarily disappear. This feature adds a second level of defense over the AuthentiGuard - Hidden Image Background - as the disappearing act of the logo CANNOT be reproduced by anyone.
